PHD PROGRAMS AT DBB
The Department of Biology and Biotechnology (DBB) hosts the PhD Program in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology, coordinated by Prof. Antonio Torroni. The DBB promoted in 2011 the formation of the PhD Program in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology by fusing three pre-existing PhD programs with the aim to offer a unified environment to PhD students interested in Genetics, Pathology, Molecular and Cellular Biology.
The PhD Program in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology is one of five courses of the Graduate School in Life Sciences “Camillo Golgi” at the University of Pavia, which are characterised by multidisciplinary research and training in Biological, Medical and Biotechnological Sciences.
The faculty of the PhD Program in Genetics, Molecular and Cellar Biology comprises professors from the DBB and other departments of the University of Pavia (Clinical-Surgical Diagnostic and Pediatric Sciences, Molecular Medicine, Public Health and Experimental and Forensic Medicine) and scientists from the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Italian National Council of Research (IGM – CNR).
Staff from the DBB partecipates also to other PhD Programs of the University of Pavia:
PhD Program in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology
PhD Program in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics
PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences
